Centers for Spiritual Living is an organization of spiritual communities that honor all paths to God and can help you experience a personal relationship with God. When God is the focus of our spirituality, then other areas of our lives fall into place – we are happier, we can do more for others, be better stewards of the Earth, and bring peace and harmony to the world.

Our Interfaith Work

Our teaching tells us that wisdom can come from many sources. Throughout the year we seek to incorporate different traditions into our program. We offered events featuring Native American spiritual practices, a Hindu Diwali service and a Jewish Rosh Hashanah service. Along with our partners in the St. Augustine Interfaith Community we created Thanksgiving events as well as services to envision an end to gun violence. When the local Hindu community was forced to stop conducting classes at their location, we opened our doors to them. When the Muslim community’s place of worship was picketed, we helped organize a peaceful human shield to stand between the worshipers and protestors.

If you are in search of a spiritual community where you are respected and accepted for who you are and want the inspiration and support to grow to your highest potential, please accept our invitation to visit your local Centers for Spiritual Living community.

Helping the Community

Throughout the year we make weekly donations to the St. John’s Ecumenical Food Bank.

We hold frequent drives to supply kids in need with Christmas gifts and school supplies. The teachers of these kids have told us that our gifts are often the only new things these kids will receive all year.

We helped to provide children’s hospitals in Ukraine with medical supplies.

St. John’s Ecumenical Food Bank

Throughout the year we make weekly donations to the St. John’s Ecumenical Food Bank. This ministry is to provide emergency food assistance to residents in our own community of St. Johns County. Through this partnership with other volunteers we can help to increase awareness of hunger issues in the county as well.

Elizabeth Claire Fund

The Elizabeth Claire Fund was created to honor our former minister by helping women who are seeking to improve their lives. This fund has provided support to women finishing nursing degrees, real estate licenses and opening their own businesses. It has helped a women’s shelter repair their air-conditioning system. We work very closely with the Betty Griffin Center, providing celebrations for the families in their shelters during holidays. The fund supplies grocery gift cards to families leaving the shelters, giving them support for a fresh start.

Venus Manly Scholarship

Venus Manly was a young member of our community whose bright smile and love of learning lit up her classroom. She ignored the discomfort of sitting in a wheelchair throughout the day because she wanted to learn. When Venus made her transition, CSL St Augustine created this fund to help students with disabilities pursue higher education. Each year we give out scholarships to kids with special needs, or as we like to call them, kids with special courage.
